A/C blowing warm air? Check these first
Warm air on a hot day is miserable, but it isn't always a big repair. Check these before you call.
1. The thermostat
Make sure it's set to Cool, the fan is on Auto, and the setting is below the room temperature. Replace the batteries if the screen is dim or blank.
2. The filter
A clogged filter chokes airflow and can freeze the coil. Pull it out. If you can't see light through it, replace it.
3. The breakers
Your system often has two: one for the inside unit and one for the outside unit. If either is tripped, reset it once. If it trips again, leave it off and call.
Still warm?
Ice on the copper lines, a humming outside unit with a fan that won't spin, or water around the inside unit all need a technician. Call us and tell us what you see.
