Fridge not cooling? Three things to check first

A warm fridge is stressful, with food on the line. Before you call, check these three things.

1. The condenser coils

They're behind the bottom grille or on the back. When they're caked with dust and pet hair, the fridge can't shed heat. Unplug it and vacuum them clean.

2. The vents inside

Cold air flows from the freezer into the fridge through a vent. A box or bag pushed against it blocks the cold. Clear some space.

3. The door seal

Close the door on a dollar bill. If it slides out easily, the seal isn't holding and warm air is getting in.

Still warm?

If the freezer is cold but the fridge isn't, or the fridge is silent, call us. Move the food to a cooler in the meantime.
